According to the Tampa Bay Times, the new school will replace the Florida Autism Center of Excellence-Pasco (FACE-Pasco). That school closed abruptly less than a month ago.

FACE-Pasco, a charter school, was located on Chancey Road in Agape Baptist Church, near the site for the new school.

It's really very hard to tell any more. I checked the about page, it doesn't say. I checked what lists I could find for the county's charter and private schools and it's not there. Not under private or charter.

Since it's replacing a charter school according to article, I assumed.

Willing to be proved wrong. I even searched this list...and found no Monarch school.

Let me know if you find out for sure. It has characteristics of private, but is replacing a charter.
