When there's a news article like "Britney Spears just put her $4 Million house on the market" - I'm thinking wow, that's pretty cheap! There are homes around me that are listed for over a million dollars, and this isn't what would be considered an upper-class neighborhood by any means. My street doesn't even have sidewalks!

There are homes quite a few homes listed for $10, $12, $19 Million, although they're in the tonier enclaves, but just the same!

The uber expensive homes fly off the shelves -- no lack of money here, apparently, but we normal people would be hard pressed to find something that would be considered fair and reasonable in other parts of the country. When I hear of home prices elsewhere I'm amazed at what you can get for "so little".

I live with my brother and his wife and they're renting this house, so I'm lucky. If I were looking to buy, well, I couldn't even entertain the thought.
