In reply to the discussion: 2014 Just May Be The Most Important Election Of Our Lifetimes. [View all]MineralMan
(150,898 posts)42. We really need to keep our eye on this ball, and let 2016 come
into play after the election in November. Getting distracted now is not a good idea. In Minnesota, for example, we have a good opportunity to flip two Congressional districts if we can get out the Democratic voters in those districts. Two seats, just in this state. Similar opportunities exist in many states. We only need 18 flipped seats to gain majority control. I can't believe that is not a top priority for every Democrat.
We can do it, if we are willing to do the work. If we punt, though, we'll lose again and have to start over again in 2016. We could have two excellent years before then if we will get on it now.
