27. Roses, I'm a bit younger than you are, and there are so many of us who are

war weary, death and destruction weary, and war profiteering weary. Take a break from the media for a specified time -- weeks, months?
Together with my adult daughter, I did this two years ago -- no television or radio news, no newspaper news -- for 3 months. Only regular life -- work, reading for pleasure and relaxation, getting together with family and friends. It was a very positive time for me, as it gets way too easy to be dragged down by the tragedy of what we have done in the Middle East. I came back refreshed, and could get back to my small attempts to make a difference -- attempts to influence law-makers through mail and phone calls. I recommend stepping away for whatever time you need.
