(38,206 posts)41. I wish Richmond County would use something to ban it.
In NC, the two main counties they listed were my county, Richmond, and the county next to us, Anson. Anson went ahead and made it so they cannot do fracking over there. The idiot who is our state representative is gung ho to begin fracking in my county. So, no such luck here. Still, if we can vote his ass out and replace him with a more reasonable rep, maybe we could do that here too before it is too late. I really don't want flammable water, destroyed forests, and cancer just so some assholes can get rich.

Actually, in PA, the state law that set up local control of zoning was making us violate the law...
