a few years ago when discussion of same-sex marriage started up. First, it was that same-sex couples should be happy with civil unions, and when that was blasted down, it was that EVERYONE should have just civil unions, and marriages should be only a religious thing. All of a sudden, when same-sex couples could marry, marriage in a general was a problem.

I rolled my eyes at that then, and I roll my eyes at this now. I'm very happily married and have been for over 15 years now, and I want to see everyone who wants to marry the person they love be allowed to marry that person, and get all the rights associated with marriage. And the word "marriage" and a real wedding and all of that. Big cake, party, honeymoon, you name it.
