that whole 'necessary' argument with my dad. He hates swearing - funny enough he says those same things...people who swear do so because they don't have a good vocabulary and that swearing isn't necessary. He never swears. Ever. Growing up I wasn't even allowed to say dumb, stupid or darn. So, predictably, I swear like a sailor now, LOL. But I'm nearly 40 so he can't punish me like he used to, so now he rolls his eyes and says, "is that really necessary?" Now I can say that many things in life aren't necessary...
but that's what makes life enjoyable, lol. BTW, my dad has the worst vocabulary. He doesn't read much, except for crappy right wing newspapers. He never 'understood' English classes ("They asked me my opinion and I gave it to them...'this story is bad' and I got a 0. How can they give an opinion a 0?"
and can't write worth shit. I'm quite certain my vocabulary is much better than his, and I swear constantly
