Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., is revving up for a possible 2016 presidential bid, heading to New Hampshire this weekend to give two speeches laying out his agenda.
While other potential 2016 Democratic contenders appear to be waiting for a sign from Hillary Rodham Clinton on whether she is in or out, Sanders has been clear that he will get in to the race if he feels nobody is standing up for a progressive economic agenda. He told The Nation Magazine in March, I dont believe that I am the only person out there who can fight this fight, but I am certainly prepared to look seriously at that race.
Sanders Senate campaign announced Tuesday that the potential presidential candidate will be in New Hampshire on Saturday to talk about the grotesque level of income and wealth inequality in the nation and the need for a constitutional amendment to overturn the disastrous Supreme Court decision in the Citizens United case which allows billionaires to buy elections.
Sanders was also in Iowa in May talking to liberal activists about his potential candidacy.
