(254 posts)Ok. Let's wait a bit while any posters here who just had a heart attack call an ambulance.
Now, I'll bet there are plenty of Independents who are regular readers and posters here on DU (more heart attacks? sorry); we may be registered "I" for a variety of reasons, unique to each individual. (Personally, I just feel so screwed over and shat upon by politicians of ALL persuasions that I declared my "independence" from the party yoke).
But we would not be here at DU if we were not like-minded liberal/progressive type folks, we would be at that other site... you know, the one that starts with "f"???
And, here's something for the "my party right-or-wrong" bunch to consider is, would you vote for a "D" that would sell you down the river before you would vote for an "I" that has your back? Is that any better than the "R"'s who vote for anybody who is an "R", even though they are going to sell them out right down to their shorts?
Before you light those torches & sharpen the pitchforks, be advised that I voted for PBO --- twice. And I would vote for Bernie Sanders in a second if he runs. I believe he would bust a gut to do right by poor working slobs like myself...not just make a bunch of nice-sounding promises and then stab me in the back.
