He likened the Cochran/McDaniel run-off to the Eisenhower/Taft fight (the Great Betrayal) that didn't lead to a gop split ... a third party challenge in the general election.

But I don't think the times, or the players, are the same ... I fully expect McDaniel, if he can't challenge the results, will mount a 3rd-Party run. And I fully expect that the tea-party folks (beck, red-states, etc.) to encourage and fully support such a move.

But what do I know?
