20. Notice what Boehner ISN'T saying?

I'll give John Boehner this: He's not a total nincompoop. He's not invoking that Republican trope "the will of the people." I'm not sure why; truth really hasn't been the basis for Republican operations for three decades or more. But since Obama was returned to office with more than 50% of the popular vote, the Senate is in Democratic hands, and Democratic congresspersons received more total votes than those holding Republican seats, it's clear that the Republicans are fighting a rearguard action in defense of a status quo that doesn't serve the broader interests of the country.

So, what does Boehner have? The empty threat of a frivolous lawsuit. I'm shaking in my boots.
