(109 posts)Teaching a child that they will be eternally tormented by a mythical sky fairy if they fail to do and believe virtually irrefutably wrong things is making them mentally ill. The phelps children is a great example. They put children as young as 4 in danger, Louis Theroux even got one on camera getting pegged with a soda cup from a moving car. These parents are irrefutably harming their children with their beliefs, beliefs they don't even understand (Margie claims she believes every word, but doesn't know she believes in unicorns, and seems to think the giant sections about people you need to kill means "yell at them", because yelling doesn't out you in prison). So yes, teaching your child to believe stupid and wrong things is directly harmful and neglectful to them
Anyone who cannot produce god in court is crazy.programming a child to believe is abuse. Talk to atheists who still have illogical panic attacks over hell. There's a lot of them
