In reply to the discussion: Time to put Hobby Lobby Out of Business. [View all]Takket
(23,720 posts)51. I'd love to put these dirtbags out of business... BUT...
Let's not forget that hobby Lobby may have asked for the ruling, but they are not the threat to women's health. the RULING is. We can drive Hobby Lobby into the ground, shut their doors and walk away with a smile on our faces... but the RULING will still exist, and all those "closely held" companies can go right on discriminating. so let's just remember that what happens to Hobby Lobby is going to have little effect on what is happening to women's rights other than being a symbolic blow for the "power of the people".
If we REALLY want women to be protected, we need to get the enablers out of Washington! hobby Lobby is NOTHING without the enablers to do their bidding.

Yes! Let's make 20,000 employees who had nothing to do with this unemployed!

If there isn't enough of a market, Hobby Lobby would already be out of business.

Boycott won't work on people who already stated they'd close every single one of their stores

So just WTF are we supposed to do, then? Passively stand by and let them get away with this shit?

By that reasoning, no boycott or action would ever be taken against any business.

You don't have to worry about the employees being thrown out of work.

Follow the money. Always. Especially where someone wears the cross or flag on their sleeve.

And remember as picketers you don't have to worry about 35 foot buffer zones either.

Quite correct. My spouse is planning a picket, and is researching just that question.

In isolation, no. But considering the private-sector cases in the SC Pipeline, it is concerning.

Can't one just feel the love of Jesus oozing from the pores of the Hobby-Lobbyites?

I've wondered who shops there. I've been in a couple and they were empty. The store was huge, maybe
