For example, Syria, when people were talking down about the gassings there then others pulled up stuff about other atrocities in Africa and then said stuff like "why weren't you concerned about X conflict!" Erm, maybe because the news wasn't covering it and we're on a discussion board and we discuss generally what the news covers? Then you go and find maybe one or two threads about X conflict and ask them why they didn't post about it, it's a silly circle of irrationality.
You only have so much time to post, and things you're interested in, such as in this case I am interested in debunking clickbait journalism that at its core is anti-activist and anti-reform as it acts to subdue people (see Chomsky's Manufacturing Dissent).
Yet I have made many posts against the NSA, in one post woo me with science thanked me for my contribution. It's really just two faced-ness. Why can't we damn have different opinions on different things? Geez.
