(at least every one I've ever used, except Whole Foods, and that CEO is a libertarian) ... so why not the food companies themselves?

A commitment to natural living is very ideological. So it's not surprising that some of these companies have other ideological entrenchments, even if they are less to our liking.

Disappointing, but not surprising to me, as a long time consumer of stuff that used to only be found at natural food stores.
