5. Our cat Picabo had a very hard life and

he was almost dead from the cold last winter. It took almost 2 weeks of feeding him twice a day for me to get close enough to him to pick him up and put him our basement. After that it took over a month of feeding him for him to let me pet him. I brought him upstairs to the house one day and he bounced all over the walls trying to escape. So it was another couple of weeks living in the basement before he would come upstairs again. It's been 8 months now and he feels safer. He and my other cat have found peace with one another but the unfortunate outcome is that Picabo doesn't know how to purr, no matter how happy he is.
