(13,986 posts)80. I think we actually want a Republican counter-wave.
Democrats and Democratic leaners outnumber Republicans dramatically. That's why Republicans try to suppress and discourage voting. They know the demographics, and they know they lose if a lot more people suddenly decide to vote. If Republicans created a counter-wave it might only help turn the idea of a voting wave into a thing. if there is a proportional surge of voters on both sides, we win. They lose.
