while fundies are characterized by Orwellian eisegesis: fundies operate by closing off all other means of thought (other than "what some pinko 19th-c. Bedlamites wrote" , so they can't even comprehend that other people can think differently from themselves; this is all possible because they're a hermetically-closed system theologically, with "debate" just being "how does McReady Price fit in with (your Leader here's) old-timey prejudices?"
