In which case 'ignore' does squat. Trolls not only attack other people directly, they also 'work' the casual reader, 'work the refs', etc. Some try to get others banned, some merely work to make the board sound more like a den of idiots to casual readers who stop in.

Ignore is not an ultimate panacea.
