In reply to the discussion: A Strong Woman [View all]Half-Century Man
(5,279 posts)53. I am male, and tell my daughters to define themselves, not to be defined by a male/partner
Dakara, I will not be so presumptuous as to offer a definition of a strong woman here, I lack certain qualifications.
One to one. As a single male to every single individual woman, I ask.
Do you feel strong? If so I'll support you and count on your support for myself.
If not, what help do you need? I will do my part large or small. But, I cannot make you strong; you must do that.
If I am in your way, just tell me. I was raised to help those I perceive as weaker than myself. In my zeal to act as taught, I may not realize me being in front isn't shielding, but obstructing. Point that out and I will move.
If you are stronger than I, can I count on your support? Sometimes I need it.

You expressed concern about the lack of recs. I gave you my personal reason why.
