Of course, the RW paymasters don't want critical thinking, they want a populace that is just smart enough to get their bidding done without asking questions.

This was included in the education section of the 2012 Texas RepubliClown platform-
"Knowledge-Based Education – We oppose the teaching of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) (values clarification), critical thinking skills and similar programs..."
