I think this is what started it. Then the OP proceeded to spam GD with 6 or 7 (according to a post in the thread. I wasn't around that night till later) versions all being locked in by hosts.
In the mean while, while hosts were cleaning up this shit, the troll formerly known as Quinnox posted some meta BS that was hidden by earlg - then of course that turned in to a big conspiracy of hosts letting quinox slide due to his host status.
But other than that, it was the mean old hosts shutting down an innocent appreciation thread:

If so, we need to lock them both and move on. I just looked at GD and these OPs seem to be spawning new OPs that are complaining about the Meta in GD.
