Did coaches hide evidence here, or are you referring to the Steubenville case?

Not all coaches and not all cops are willing to cover this up. Many of them have daughters and can relate to what these young women are going through. I really believe that is a rare situation.

What isn't rare (unfortunately) is that young men lack empathy, and I'm not sure that can be taught. I think it only comes with many years of experience. They think of themselves first--what's fun, what makes them "the man." They humiliate through rape, and then they double-humiliate by bragging about it--with pix as evidence. They need to feel humiliated themselves. With all the shame brought on the guys convicted in the steubenville case, you can bet they will think twice about raping the next passed-out girl is in front of them.
