For that much money, I will be content to share with the pool even if the ticket was not part of the pool.

Personally, I think that if you are the one collecting the money for the pool, then you implicitly have accepted that any ticket you have in your possession will be contested as being part of the pool ticket(s) unless the pool ticket(s) were bought well ahead of the drawing and photocopies of the ticket(s) made and distributed so that all the members of the pool so that they have the record before the drawing is announced. Otherwise, it is almost impossible to argue about the separation of the pool ticket(s) and personal ones.

If she had the ticket and somehow lost it because she does not want to share it as part of the pool, well I will say karma just stepped in to teach someone a lesson. The only thing that might save her is if she signed the back of the ticket.
