To not take mortgage credits or claim your kids, too. Do you take tax credits for retirement funds? If so, then I suppose we should be able to interfere with how you spend your retirement, since, you know, we are all paying for that.

Do you get medicare or social security? Nearly EVERYONE gets some kind of tax credit or some sort of "entitlement". You are very keen to harp about issues involving finance. I find it EXTREMELY dubious that you have received no tax breaks for your home unless you either inherited it or own it out right. If you own it out right, then you almost certainly are receiving some credits unless you are just plain awful at doing your taxes.

I suggest you get an accountant if that is the case. Oh, but you can go ahead and interfere with things because people interfering with what YOU do is bad. Interfering with everyone else is A-Okay.
