In reply to the discussion: Resolved? Hillary Clinton is a Liberal Democrat [View all]JDPriestly
(57,936 posts)I understand game theory. It is amoral. To qualify as a liberal, you have to set game theory aside and consider morality. Hillary has cast some good, liberal votes, but her heart and soul belong to Wall Street and big business whether she likes it or not.
We need a president who is not beholden to the 1%, the bankers.
I cannot stomach another president who is liberal except on matters that concern the welfare of working people. Sorry. My morality just doesn't allow me to vote for Hillary Clinton.
The TPP. The Pipeline (supported by the people in her State Department), the H1-B visas, her allt-too-close relationship with India (which I recognize is one of our good allies, but still .. . . .). There are just too many problems with a Hillary candidacy. On top of her problems, there is the legacy of Bill Clinton which will stick to her with great tenacity. NAFTA is a big betrayal to many American workers. Then there is the telecommunications act, and the repeal of Glass-Steagall. I could go on and on. And with each item I would list, her creds as a liberal would slide down, down, down.
We can do better than Hillary.
