Being a U.S. Senator is a pretty good gig, really. You have a good deal of power, but without the extreme pressure of the Presidency. You can influence the course of affairs without being attacked on a daily basis or worrying about a hidden assassin around every corner. It's the second most powerful political position there is, really.
The question is: Why on Earth would anyone run for the presidency?
I think it's pretty certain that Elizabeth Warren isn't going to run. Why should she? She'll be able to get re-elected to her Senate seat easily and continue doing what she's been doing. It's a great, powerful position.
