... are accused by some DUers as being "Putin lovers". That is purely the binary thinking of inferior intellects. The choices aren't always black and white. Sometimes they are grey and grey, and sometimes even black and black. I suspect Ukraine poses the latter choice, in which case involvement by the US on either side carries risk for no reward.
