(34,213 posts)14. My son was born without a sense of smell.
Everything else is fine, but its really not there.
At 8 years old, he asked me what he was missing.
I told him there are some nice odors out there, but I promised him that there were things out there that he will be glad he will never smell. He'll see other people freak out and he won't.
I told him it will be his superpower some day.
