5. We have hate crimes here too in America.

The difference is we have laws to protect the LGBT community, but it still happens. Ukraine has some laws to protect LGBT people on a national level, but hate crimes still happen.

Russia on the other hand has laws that entice hate against the LGBT community and hate crimes there occur regularly. There lies the difference.
