In reply to the discussion: Minnesota man guns down teen girl after she asks him to stop riding lawnmower in her yard [View all]Swede Atlanta
(3,596 posts)First of all this guy apparently sees nothing wrong with shooting someone because they asked him to stop driving his lawnmower across her property (property of her parents or whoever she lives with). Secondly he worked at a correctional facility?
That also concerns me. Correctional officers are (should be) subject to rules of engagement. If this guy is willing to shoot an unarmed teenager over a lawnmower dispute I shudder to think how he would react if an inmate crossed him.
We don't know the circumstances of his departure from the correctional facility but hopefully if he is convicted of the charges against him he would never be a candidate for employment with any police department, correctional facility, etc. ...i.e. any job that requires the ability to maintain your composure or a job that requires carrying a weapon.
