I didn't know her personally...but we were ships sailing through the dark days and nights of 2000's here...so she was a fellow DU'er...I knew from her posts here and liked and respected as I think from the responses, did others, who were here all that time.
The OP who posted of her death, didn't seem to know what she died of ...and one person on the OP replies said "Raindog" had not been feeling well lately, but, another said she was filled with all kinds of positive things for the future. But, no one said they knew of any life threatening illness with her that she'd talked about. 
Her last two posts seem to say she was a bit depressed (but who isn't with the news these days)...So.. I wouldn't know what really happened.
Whatever....she is at peace now...and she was around here since 2002...and went through all the stressing times many of us did (Bush Selection by Supreme court and the Iraq Invasion and the crap years after) and was a good contributor to DU. It's so sad to lose her...(whatever the reason) and we can only give her the 
and hope that wherever she is....she will hear or know that there were folks out here who will miss her and that she will be remembered. I think she would have loved to know that wherever she is.
