2. It's not the word "torture" that bothers me the most....

It's the word "We" and the word "Folks". "We" didn't torture anyone, certain people made that decision and "we" is not good enough. The word "Folks" was insulting like "oh just old granddad and uncle Ted got a little tortured, don't ya know." The word "Folks" makes torture just an everyday thing to overlook or forget, no big deal.

I don't think the president has ever said anything this stupid in his presidency and I have never thought of him as anything but exceptional intellectually. This was just thoughtless to say the least.
