If a man is ogling a woman and commenting on how "hot" she is, the clear and obvious takeaway is NOT that he wishes to engage her in the local debating society or the next archaeological dig or legislative conference. He imagines taking her to bed. PERIOD. As in - gee, I guess that's all we're good for, isn't it?
