I don't know which rationalization for the White House's failure to prosecute Bushco for torture, but maybe it's that we continue extraordinary rendition and other torture practices, only now, we make the receiving nation tell us they will not torture the people we've flown there to be tortured. Good point, the Geneva Convention doesn't say "enhanced interrogation" is illegal.
