Polish territorial integrity vis-a-vis the Danzig Corridor and Hitler's demand for German sovereignty over that same corridor lead to WWII. Economics had very little to do with the direct causes of WWII.

Am I missing something here? Onerous reparations were imposed on a defeated Germany by the Entente powers after Germany's defeat in World War I, but those reparations had pretty much stopped being an issue after the mid- to late 20s in Weimar Germany.

Now the causes of WWI are a whole different matter, if one accepts Lenin's analysis.
