At Kroger, the machine keeps track of the weight of items placed in the bagging area. When someone attempts to put an item in the bag area without checking it, the computer calls him/her out (something along the lines of "Please take the last item out.&quot . And if someone doesn't use the bagging area, you'd think that would get the clerk's attention...?
