(18,124 posts)a large poster that I had hung up on my wall. For the last 15 years that poster always put perspective on 'land of the free, home of the brave'. I finally took it down and rolled it up, because of the negativity implicit in the hate generated in that smiling and laughing crowd of amerikkkans at the lynching of those young black men, for no other reason than they were black. Trayvon who did absolutely nothing to deserve a bullet from zimpig, to micheal who did not deserve to die for his alleged crime that that cop knew nothing about while shooting 7 bullets into that kids unarmed body.....incomprehensible and unexcusable. I'm about ready, with this era of modern day lynchings to put that poster on every telephone pole and flat surface I can find, along with photos of a dead martin and brown. I just read an article in 'theRoot', with 20 stories of unarmed young black males being killed by the police, recently, and maybe, just maybe people can see the connection to the bitter fruit hanging in the trees of another era and the black males laying dead in the street for four hours for no other reason than he may have mouthed off at massa.
This is a tragic era for young black males.
