Ok... if this was a compromise, what did the Democrats get in return for the $8.7 billion cut in food stamps? Nothing justifies removing food from the tables of the needy in this country. The needy just don't seem to be represented in the Federal Gov't. Who represents the needy? Who? They are American citizens too.
$95/month less in food stamps. Did I read that right? You know, there are some people on food stamps that would starve rather than be seen at a food bank. They will do without. And when social services finds people in homes emaciated from a lack of food, will they be charged with negligence? Negligence comes from the top, people. And trickles right down to the least of these.
There is nothing to celebrate here, if you're a real Democrat!
