(36,286 posts)18. I was in a bad accident 5 days before Christmas last year -
and I've been trying to figure out ever since how it happened. (I have no memeory of the actual impact) Reading this OP, it just now occurred to me that it's possible that the other driver was on the phone, which would explain everything!

It's OK if you're in the fast lane and keep 23 car lengths back from the car ahead.
