Ignorant, arrogant and narcissistic. That's why fundy Christianity appeals to them, because they honestly believe they are better than anyone else.

How can a mother say she "knew" her son was gay his entire life, and then claim he is going against his own nature?

These parents are scumbags. They are fully invested in what SOCIETY thinks of them.

"OHNOES! We've spent all our lives at church gossiping abut all the evildoers who aren't as holy and righteous as us, and now people will be gossiping about US! The humanity! I'm gettin' the vapors, Aunt Pittypat, just thinking about it!"

Their "love" for their son is not trumped by their "love of the word of god." They are too stupid to understand even what their own bible's historical meanings are. No, their love for their child is trumped by their place in their social scene. Christianity for them is a Bobble Bangers Kuntry Klub, and having a gay son is ruining their Kuntry Klub Kred.

Glad the kid is getting financial support.

Daniel: you are awesome, worthy, beautiful and loved. If there is a god, it loves you, too. And that god, if it is a loving god, thinks your parents are pretty worthless pieces of human bigotry.
