Dan Snyder's 'secret' plan for the Redskin name. [View all]

Keith Olbermann had a segment about this last night. He had many interesting quotes from different people.

Apparently, Snyder will give up the name Redskins if he gets major concessions to build a new stadium in DC where RFK once was. That would mean money that would ultimately come from those who live in DC. Other goodies would have to be thrown in too. He is tired of FedEx field because it's 17 years old.

Owners of different pro teams have pulled the stadium scam for years in order to get major money to build new stadiums. They threaten to move teams and such.

Jeffrey Loria did this in Miami to get a new stadium for the Marlins. The Atlanta Braves are moving out of Turner Field which is only 17 years old. Cobb County offered them a lot of incentives to move there which has rightfully set people on the warpath. Never mind that the new stadium has little mass transit to reach it or a lot of space for parking. It is very inconvenient for many fans who have supported them for years.

Money, money, money.....
