Since his mother said she’d known he was gay from the time he was a little boy, why did she explode when he came out?

One of mr. froggy’s younger cousins, Darrell, used to play dress-up with mr. froggy’s sister when they were little kids. They not only put on their moms’ dresses and shoes, but their lipstick, powder and mascara. The families were, and still are, Christian fundies (who call me a Satan worshipper because I’m an atheist, but that’s neither here nor there). Everyone in the family, including Darrell’s parents, said Darrell should have been born a girl, but no one ever insulted Darrell or spoke unkindly of him, they just accepted him the way he was. Maybe some of them thought he’d “grow out of it” – I don’t know – but he didn’t, and when he became an adult, his parents and other family members helped him pay for a sex-change operation. Darla is now a very happy woman who is still close to her family.

Maybe someday “Daniel’s” family will wake up, stop their “God’s word” anti-gay nonsense and accept him for who he is.
