13. I think this has to happen for us to heal. It's been covert too long.

I can't think of any way that we can address the horrors of what people will do to one another unless we face the pain, and sometimes the injury and death, of talking about it.

It really is the same thing that makes us go to war, but there are people we are also close to and can't exactly war with, and we're still hanging onto being too civilized to do that, but it's a very serious conflict and if we're ever going to solve it we have to hope we're appalled enough by it to stop and figure out how to work together.

Run-on sentence but I hope it's understandable.
