57. Look at the dysfunctional communities

in this culture. They are all around you and growing. Naturally people choose to live in a bubble so as to be able to feel positive about things. But look at the patterns of where people of reasonable means flock, where they think things are working well. Then look at how and where the "have-nots" live on the fringes. Really take the time to look around you. I'd be willing to bet there is suffering in your community that you are not even aware of. This is indicative of the isolationism and fear that is undercutting our society and partly contributing to, and a result of, extraordinary levels of gun violence.

"I got mine" is a negative way to look at society.
