Except that those "areas that have addressed gun violence through legislation" haven't really done anything about gun violence other than "addressing" it.
Does this map indicate to you, that those places that have "addressed gun violence through legislation" have been successful in reducing it any significant way shape size or form?

But that's other states fault, right?
And for what its worth, the uzi in question was a fully automatic weapon, and there was no intent to assault and kill anyone.
The sandy hook rifle on the other hand, was semi-auto.
