In reply to the discussion: Armed Neo-Nazis Patrolling Sanford, Florida [View all]Hugabear
(10,340 posts)I used to have a neo-Nazi who lived down the street from me in Altamonte Springs, which isn't far from Sanford. He was a member of the National Alliance, a neo-Nazi group. Reason I know is one day they distributed some of their "literature" on everyone's yard - basically a bunch of racist pamphlets. I did an internet search for National Alliance, and discovered one of their national leaders lived in my area.
So yes, it's reasonable to believe there is a neo-Nazi presence in this area - these people are scattered across the country. However, there are NO organized patrols involving these idiots, let alone heavily armed patrols. The article would have people believe that there are skinheads marching around with their swastikas, brandishing assault rifles - this simply is not true. They only wish they had the courage to do such a brazen act. These people are cowards, they love to operate in near anonymity.
