When one is mired, a change of venue can do wonders for the soul.
I am glad he is able to visit these lovely artifacts as my proxy. The example he sets which promotes thoughtful reverence and resilience is needed.
Topping off the day with serendipitous play with the family was not, but for the clouds, grey, but great.

visited stonehenge in 1963. no fences, guides or tour busses. 3 of us were the only ones there nt
