Punishment for off field conduct was a bargained issue between the union and the owners. They agreed to the framework.

He got 2 games and did no appeal. He was serving his suspension, upholding his contract.

The new video came out. Ravens cut him. Ok, within their rights but since the season started last thursday, Rice's contract became vested and they are in the hook for this year's salary and there are salary cap issues going forward.

The nfl saying they did not know about the video? Pure, unadulterated horseshit. They just figured it would not get out.

Rice has nothing to lose - he has lost it all. Litigate, litigate, litigate. Sue ravens, the owners, union if they do not grieve this. Subpeona tmz, the casino etc.

This will get ugly.

NFL should have given him a year off. They got crucified for it. Do not believe them.
