why was ray rice allowed to avoid jail for punching his wife [View all]

ive seen the video. he sucker punched her and knocked her out.
the police and da had the video.
why was someone that violent allowed to enter a diversion program that could lead to the arrest being expunged from his record.

we all know if he wasnt a football hero that wouldnt have happened.

the police and DA have some explaining to do
